Have you decided to buy an aluminum gazebo, but are you worried about the lack of stability of the outdoor gazebo in windy conditions, and the sun and rain protection functions? Then you’d better fix the pavilion to the ground. We will show you how to install it firmly!

Fixing the gazebo with screws

Fastening with ground anchors, guy ropes and feet is only suitable for short-term flexible use of folding gazebos and party tents. This installation method is not stable enough for heavy aluminum and metal gazebos.
For aluminum and steel pavilion gazebos, you can fix the legs to the foundation with screws. The sturdy gazebo design allows you to use it all year round, spend the winter outdoors without worries, and does not have to be removed seasonally.
However, if you want to buy a new gazebo, the drilled holes for the screws in the foundation may no longer fit the new model, and you have to forget them and drill new holes.

The right foundation for the garden gazebo

If you want to build your garden gazebo on the lawn and feel the grass under your feet under the gazebo roof, then you need a point foundation. You pour the foundation for each column and fix the pavilion at specific points. You can easily create a point foundation in four steps:

•  Level the ground, mark out the pavilion plan and mark the foundation points.
• Dig holes at least 80 cm deep and 20 cm wide where the legs will be placed later.
• Mix the concrete and pour the mixture into the holes.
• Keep compacting the concrete and smoothing the surface with a trowel.

Secure the pavilion to the foundation and the house wall

Once the foundation has been poured and hardened, you can fix the garden pavilion to it. The same process applies if you use an existing terrace as a foundation and screw the pavilion to it.

Drill holes in the foundation and the legs, insert the pins into them, and then screw the two components together using screw brackets. With the aluminum outdoor pavilions produced by Yueling, you don’t need any screw brackets. The column plates have pre-drilled holes through which the column plates can be screwed to the foundation.
